We Truly Are All Equal

November 19, 2016

How an artist begins to paint any human portrait.

We are all People of Color. We are not white, black, red, yellow, blue, or any other category of person. The skin color of each and every one of us is made up of a unique combination of the colors red, yellow, and blue. Just ask any knowledgeable artist to explain this to you, if you don’t understand. It is this very uniqueness of the color of each person’s skin that makes us all the same. No one combination of colors is any better, or worse, than another.

Imagine a world where every plant was the same exact shade of green, where every rock was the same exact shade of gray, or where pure white snow covered every bit of the surface of the planet. Having so many different combinations of red, yellow, and blue is what makes our world so beautiful. The unique combination of red, yellow, and blue that makes up an individual’s skin color is what makes People so beautiful. No two People are identical and we need to learn to both accept and relish the differences in each of us rather than trying to attach ourselves to what is the same. Without our differences, People wouldn’t be able to exist!
