Origin of the Universe!

October 23, 2010

My belief is this:

- The matter that is in the universe has always been here (Steady State concept).

- Each galaxy has its very own "Big Bang" independent of all other galaxies.

- The size and type of galaxy that is formed is dependent upon how the Bang occurs (for example, the Milky Way may have been many other types of galaxy before its current existence as a spiral galaxy).

- Each galaxy has its own cycle of expansion and contraction. When all the matter in the galaxy contracts to a singular point, the energy present causes it to explode and the expansion phase begins. After many billions of years and the formation of millions of black holes, the galaxy begins to contract until it eventually become a singular point once again.

Under my theory, Big Bangs are occurring all the time within the greater universe. The Big Bangs we are seeing today are actually events that occurred outside of our own galaxy 13-plus billion years ago. It's not the origin of the entire universe, just the galaxy that formed 13-plus billion years ago such that the light is just reaching earth now.
