Ethical Message to America's Law Enforcers

August 14, 2010

If you consider the actions of a person to be unacceptable under the law, then those actions are even MORE UNACCEPTABLE if performed by a fellow Law Enforcer. If you consider that a violation of the law is acceptable by a Law Enforcer, then it MUST ALSO BE ACCEPTABLE for a non-Law Enforcer.  It is NOT acceptable for our country's Law Enforcers to enforce laws that they themselves violate. I have no problem whatsoever with a Law Enforcer who doesn't give a speeding ticket to a fellow Law Enforcer as long as he doesn't give a ticket to a non-Law Enforcer under the same circumstances.  If you stop someone that is driving under the influence, however, then action MUST BE TAKEN regardless of the offenders status in society in order to maintain public safety at the highest level possible!
